Default My welcome, and a Power Commander

First off I want to introduce myself to the forum, I'm from NY and just got my first bike a 99 cbrf4 600 with 11 thousand miles on it for 2500 dollars, its got the yoshimura exhuast, dynojet kit, and has been tuned. I'm looking for a power commander, and I'm wondering wich ones fit our model, because it seems like parts are hard to find. I'm loving the bike seen, I've been into cars for awhile but this bike is excellent, just had new tires, new plugs, and full tune up put into it, got it from my uncle and got hooked up!

I'll be at work tomorrow so get this post going! I need some hardcore info on these bikes, also looking for a sprocket conversion kit, but wont be putting that in until next year, I've been searching.

Welcome and you will look for the rest of your life and not find a power commander for your bike...................a PC is for fuel injected bikes only and you my freind are sporting carbs. Hence the Dynojet jet kit you have.........

Get a 520 conversion -1 up front and enjoy the bike.

LOL........they can be, but they are much harder to get right than FI. And........well, FI is just nice to have. I never had a problem with my 900RR being carbed, but it was not easy to get it right. But yes, when it was right.......it was killer.

No my dynojet kit has been previously tuned before hand, I bought the bike with it, and many other nice add ons, I love the bike, its pretty damn fast for a 600 and I have to say, I am very happy with it, especially for 2500!! haha

Maybe it's just me, but if you're new to the bike scene, maybe you should chill off all the performance upgrades (i.e. 520 conversion). My advice to you would be to get comfortable on your bike by getting as much saddle time/miles under your belt before you focus too much on performance upgrades. The F4 is plenty of bike to begin with, especially if you're just starting out riding.

I don't want to lecture, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to put my 2 cents in and give a little bit of friendly advice. I just got my F4 a few months ago and love it. What ever you decide to do, have fun and above all ride safe.

Yea I agree with eyeorknee 100%. I got my F4 at the beginning of summer and have put about 3000 miles on it so far and am still learning about how to handle the thing. There are always new things you can learn every day about riding and how to manage your bike. The mods I have been making have been all cosmetic and safety mods. I would recommend going with those kinds of changes vs. putting more horsepower on your bike. Then, once you get more experience under your belt, go for the performance mods. Your bike will then LOOK sweet and RIDE even better and you'll know how to handle the power you have underneath you.

I totally agree with you guys, I'm looking into doing these next summer, I am using my bike for that purpose, and I've only owned my bike for about a month and have put 1600 miles on it, I've rode dirt bikes and fourwheelers for years, and I've raced cars for about 5 now, I'm a very responsible rider/driver. but thanks for the advice guys, now hit my top post and pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee help me out, my bike is giving me trouble
