Default My new bike

Hey guys, just thought I would show it off a little.

I got the bike for a steal and everything turned out great (title and registration were my two biggest concerns based on the price). Nevertheless, whoever says there are no GOOD deals is a liar. So far, I've got the front lowered an inch, a Hindle pipe is came with, polished the frame, K&N, some cosmetic upgrades (grips, tank pad, random polishings), and painted it Honda's Midnight Blue Pearl, which is black but int he sunlight is a deep metallic blue. I love everything about it and couldn't have found a better bike.

The only issue I have run into thus far is the overheating issue. I've properly flushed the system but still, in traffic or getting on it off a light brings my analog temp gauge into the red. Once I'm moving, it quickly returns back to the 2/3s mark. Ive done my research and need to check on the fan working (which I'm 95% sure it does), then to the thermo, and then the waterpump. Has anyone out there recently solved any problems concerning the temperature on this bike? I have read that this bike naturally runs pretty warm, but into the red is beyond hot.

Any tips and hints are welcomed and needed. Thanks guys, I'm looking forward to an active participation on these boards. I'm currently straying over here from the autogeekonline.net and acurazine.com forums for detailing and my acura tl, respectively.

Get some Engine ICE, that will help the bike run cooler. Bike looks great though.

thanks guys.

triax, i have some water wetter in there now, but it doesnt seem to be doing a whole lot as the temps are still high
at certain times. i spoke with delray motorsports down here in FL and pretty much confirmed that the thermos
dont last forever, so its probably a valid suspect for the overheating.

here's a pic of the blue metallic it has... you can also see my skills in swirl removal.... lol

It looks very nice. What year and how much?

I agree, there are definetly good deals out there. You just have to spend some time (if you're not luck) to find them. I spent some 2 months before finding mine.
