the bike starts fine and runs great in first and second. Once i try to give WOT in third and up the bike feels like it's running to rick or getting no gas. I just changed the air filter and spark plugs with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

 

check the jets in the carbs. my old yamaha had the same issue and it turned out to be buildup in a couple of the jets.

 

yea, clean the carbs completly. check the fuel pump and fuel filter make sure they are flowing properly.There is a thread in the how to on cleaning carbs i added a little on the end of the first page on how to clean the idle jet, but do the same thing with both the jets in there.

 

thanks for the advise. I ended up bringing the bike to ahonda dealer. I will post the what the problem was.

 

mine is doing the same thing first I thought it was the fuel filter I changed it no luck then I thought it might have been the fuel pump but I checked the plugs and they were black like the bike Is running rich and at night when I let off the throttle it blows a flame out the pipe not a steady one just one when it back fires...Mine does it in all gears when you lay into it, it bogs down for a second and then goes fine Ill try the air filter next.

no the bike is in the shop to thursday. Honda said they found a broken piece of plastic in the gas line from one of the nipples also they said i need my carbs cleaned.I'll keep you updated

 

carbs needed to be clean. bike running like new.
