Lightbulb Mounting a GPS

Hello every one,

I was wondering if any one has mounted a GPS with the hole in their triple tree? I have seen the ones that mount on your handle bars and i had one that mounted above my gauge cluster but i wouldn't know if the bike ever overheated. I have done searches on the internet and i don't see one that slides down in. Has any one made one of these? Im looking to put a Garmin GPS on the bike but i don't feel like buying a Zumo Model. Any advice would be great

Thanx in advance

Ebay has a kit you can get relatively cheap that has a mount for a GPS, camera, or radar detector. It mounts on the front part of your gas cap and has a bunch of slots for kind of a universal accessory mount.

I seen those but i really didn't want something sitting on the tank. I ended up drilling down into the plastic cap that goes into my triple tree. It sits and rides just fine. Thank you.

Here are the pictures that were requested. Like i said all i did was drill down through the plastic cap. It was coming out easily so i took a touch of super glue to it. I have done wheelies and stoppies and it hasn't came loose since.. Any questions let me know!

I never had much luck going down the road 100+ or picking up the front wheel and coming back down.. It always came off at some point.

Default Ram mount on front bolts of tank

There is a thread on it somewhere, but you can use one of the RAM mounts and a 3" arm on the front of the tank. It works great and is pretty much out of the way.
