Default Miles on Bike

Hey guys. New to the forum and to bikes in general. This is my first bike, a 1999 cbr 600f4. I've enjoyed every minute on this bike. It was my uncles and by the miles you can see it was just parked up. I cleaned out the carbs and flushed out some fluids and its like brand new again. Literally. 636 miles. Let me know what you guys think. I also did an undertail, lights and the targa seat cowl.

That's a damn nice bike. I see you also added a tire hugger. It's not good to let a bike sit like that, but as long as it runs good it will be a great bike for you. My 00 F4 has over 29K on it and runs and rides great.

well..... how could you tell that it was broken in properly...

chances are... if he owned the bike for that long... and took it out every once every 5 months or so.... he rode it hard... and then parked it.

i mean he already did a few mods to the bike.... im guessing he has pushed the bike hard a couple times....

Thanks for the compliments guys. Let me add in that I am the one that added on the mods to the bike. I got the bike from my uncle with 300 miles on it and i only put about 300+ this summer because I was learning to ride on another bike. The f4 was parked in his garage for a few years without even moving. The tank was pretty rusted inside and It wouldnt start. After a new battery, cleaned carb and chemicals to treat out the tank, it started up like new again. I then proceded to put those mods on the bike(some of them he bought himself and never put on). As for proper brake in, he is a big believer in braking in a bike properly. I still need to brake in the bike (kinda funny for a 99) but it ran great this summer and I cant wait to jump back on it next year. BTW my uncle also has his own 750 gsx-r that he baby's so thats why he never rode the f4.The f4 was for his wifebut she wasnt into it too much so there a perfectly good bike sat for many years until I offered to fix it. Look forward to more posts on this forum. It has already helped me out quite a bitwith questionsI had.

+1

I have had a few days where I rode more than that in an afternoon.

99cbrf4600- if you don't mind me asking-how much did you have to give him for the bike?
