Has anyone been on like a 2 day ride yet? I'm going to try to keep my bike from overheating and do some distance down PCH. I'd like to hear what you have rode lately

 

Sounds like fun, I don't have thw time off for something like that. Done a few day long rides that put on some miles though. Been up part of the coast......bring some warm gear if your out past dark . Have run up to yosemite a few times......maybe ill get the chance for a longer ride later in the year

 

Right now I'm prepping for a 4 day ride... three ~400 mile days, and one 1000 mile day. I'll be carrying clothes and camping gear on my F4. I have a couple of other days of riding I might add to it - as I've been offered a few places enroute to camp out at.

Up here overheating isn't common - especially when moving...

Slowly working my way into a rally pace - but it takes practice, time and money to get really good.

 

holy crap an 1000 mile day is ridiculous! if ya dont mind can i modify the question a bit? whats the longest ride you have ever been on?

 

The most i have rode in one day was almost 400 miles twice with in a month. My *** was sore for a few days after each trip LOL! The F4 is a comfortabel sport bike, but no Goldwing by any means.

Longest day ride? I've done 20 hours on a bike... that only covered 1300kms because I hit A LOT of back roads and rain.

I'll be riding with full gear too - tank bag, side bags, tail bag... + tent bungied on... it takes practice and ice packs

 

wow thats one big ride down the 401.

I live near Ottawa. There are a ton of nice roads in the Lanark Highlands and Greater Madawaska area (East of Ottawa) if you have time to explore.

I can pm you some maps of good roads I usually ride with my buddies if you want.
