Default Lets start a HEADERS thread!

So when i bought my bike I figured it had a "full exhaust" well it doesn't, it has a ton done to it but i believe I only have a slip on, actually i know. Do headers on our bikes make us lose low end power making it worthless to do a full setup. The bike sounds great and is pretty loud as it is right now, so just curious as to what we can do for headers, or just leave them as is. My current setup is on the bottom if anyone has any suggestions! thanks

They are mostly $600 cosmic changes which are hidden by the fairings.

They do look cool behind the front wheel, but they can be a pain when you are changing your oil if you buy one that has to be removed to access the oil filter.

so basically they dont benefit our bikes much at all, and its absolutely pointless.......I mean, it seems like it would give us more power in the midrange or so. but whatever

A full exhust, or even a slip on, requires the carbs to be rejetted in order to work properly. I have a Yoshi RS-3 slip on, and was thinking of finding a header for it, but have decided I'm just gonna use some header wrap to dress it up a little.
