Default LED taillight question

the following is for a 99 cbr 600 f4

I bought this bike used, and it had a clear taillight on it which look old and nasty. So I bought an LED taillight for it (the one that has integrated turn lights too in it), and I thought it would be an easy plug and play type of deal but i ran into a wall here...

the old taillight has two connectors with three metal prongs in it (ground power and light im assuming). The metal prongs then connect into two butt sockets.

The new taillight has only ONE yellow plug with three metal prongs in it; and a blue/yellow wire (which im assuming is for the turn signal for the taillight).

So I guessed this would be easy, i took off the two plugs off, and just wired the yellow plug off the new taillight into one of the butt sockets, it didn't work, so then i tried the other butt socket, didn't work either. So then I plugged in the old taillight and it wasnt working either, then the old taillight gave off a burning smell (electrical); not the bike's harness, but just the taillight.

WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WRONG?? I also dont care to have the turn signals on the taillight, i just need some quick help as to what im doing wrong and how can i get this to work??

THANKS !!

yes the blue and yellow wires are for the turn sigs. Try flipping the little yellow plug over. It only works one way, or at least mine didn't.

I think I bought the same one you did about a year ago. I blew a fuse..you should check the fuses. My bike already had a extra fuse next to the fuse box.

Are you still having trouble with this? If so post here or PM me. I had that issue with my bike when I did the integrated LED conversion. I too blew a fuse when I made a wrong connection. If you can't get it, hit me up and I will reply with pictures or a diagram for you over the weekend.
