leaking coolant
i bought a 2000 cbr f4 3 days ago. rode the bike twice. the third time i went to ride it i started with the choke open and left it run about 10 mins. my bike idles around 3 grand with choke all the way open. when i came back to ride the bike there was what i think to be coolant under my bike. i dont know if it was just dirty coolant cuz the guy had the bike never changed it or if it was oil/coolant mix. the next day i off the plastics and saw that the coolant res. has 2 wholes melted it from the bike running so hot. does anyone have any idea what this could be.

what made the holes?
are they all the way through?
if they are leaking coolant obviously replace the tank.
on the good side,if the coolant leaked from the tank the engine is fine if it doesn't overheat.
the only odd thing is how the **** did those holes got there.
try to trace the coolant on the engine. even just which side/area will help point it's origin.
and while you are at this check the coolant level in the radiator to make sure it's full.

find where the oil is coming from. if you must take off all the fairing around the engine.
my guess will be the water pump on the left side.
also look inside the radiator if you can see some oil floating there.
are you sure the coolant on the floor had oil mixed in?
if you don't find the oil leak at all, my guess would be a head gasket breached and oil and coolant leaked into the combustion chambers. when they ran low the engine overheated.
that is a worst case scenario, so don't panic yet. find where they are coming from, and if you must clean the engine. if you still havent found any thing after you let it sit clean for a day fill again everything up and start the engine for a while.
just make sure it doesn't overheat or anything.
hopefully after this you will spot the source of the leak.
