I just bought a 99 f4...its mostly stock, except for galfer steel lines up front, and a bigger sprocket out back...it has stock exhaust, but I get the impression that it had an aftermarket pipe w/ a jet kit previously, because it feels like its getting more fuel to the carbs than it needs. no backfiring or anything...just bogs a little at lower rpm's.........anyone got some words of wisdom for me? and the other question is wheres a good place to find a decent price on a slip-on?..............thanks , jordan

if the bike had a full exhaust on it then it prob would stumble a bit because the carb is overloading, and when they took it off then it takes a while to take carbs apart so they prob left them in., but if it was a slip on and it being jetted it shouldnt make the much of a difference due to the small jet jump from stock, but it will still affect it.

i sounded like i was stepping all over my self my kids were in the room. if it had a pipe on it or not. the way it is right now your main jet is the wrong size or the air fuel mixture screw is set wrong. so i would have a trained teck take care of it or just put a pipe on it and order a jet kit and just follow the instructions. and it will walk you all the way though it. i did this and then had it dynoed and they told me if it was running rich or lean to where i could move the needle settings.
