I need some serious help
Ok i just got me a 2000 cbr 600 f4 and the guy who owned it before me rarely rode this thing for a year, it was basically sitting in the parking lot for a whole year. Straight off the back I had to get the tires changed, oils changed and a plate light installed so I can get it inspected. Here comes the problems. IDK if its normal for the f4 to have a idling problem but mine has a idling problem, just lisitening to it you can tell it has a idling problem... its goin up and down... very slightly but noticable. Theres also a whining/whistling noise on the bottom left side, next to the shifter, I have no idea what it is but it there on idle and goes away wen you roll the throttle then comes back when you go back to idle. Another thing... im not sure if this bike rides this hot but this bike ride hot. i mean the frame get hot on this thing. The gauge doesnt red out or netin but you can feel the heat on this bike i mean the frame right next to the fairing are so hot u can touch it, if their meant to get that hot then cool but i never had one heat up like that before. And finally... today while i was looking for the whining/whistle noise i turned off the bike and tried turning it back on and it didnt work... 30 mins later i go back outside and try to turn it on and it does work. i turn it off and try to turn it back on and it doesnt wanna turn back on... its like it has a timer on how long after it goes off it can go back on or sumtin... and this is a recent problem... i just bought this bike 4 days ago... and i had all these problem... i like the bike... pls help....[:@]
get the carbs cleaned, and make sure the fan is wokring. once the needle for teh temp gauge hits about haft you should hear it turn on,
these bikes do get kinda warm if your just puttering around in the city on a hot day.
