Default Hugger - good idea, or NOT A CHANCE!

I've got a yellow 99 f4 with an undertail (don't know the brand) so it's pretty clean looking. I want to keep it fairly clean, too. I don't see many with rear huggers, so I'm having a tough time picturing it. I would go with black or cf if I was going to do it.

Any opinions, pics?

I think huggers are a good idea...especially if you do a lot of riding in rain, thru debris filled areas - like sandy roads from winter road jazz, etc.

That body style R1 does look good with a carbon fiber rear hugger thing. My buddy (roommate actually) has a 2000 R1 with one

It is rear CF, CarbonTech makes it. Picked it up on ebay for like 50 bucks damaged (super bent) heated it up with a heat gun and reshaped it though.

I don't have a hugger on my bike and it looks great, really cleans up the back end BUT I do have a Hotbodies hugger (black) and there are a lot of stone chips on the bottom of it now. If you ride anywhere that has sand/small rocks then I would put one on, or else it will ruin the painted fender in about 2000 miles.
