How much should I look to pay for a good used 1999-2000 CBR F4 in good condition? I've been looking for one for a while now and just can't find a good bike, or when I run up on a a good bike they are wanting about $1000 more than the bikes worth. Does anybody here have a F4 that they are looking to sell? I'm located in the North AL area but would be willing to travel for the right bike. I see them selling on my local CL anywhere from 3.7-4.5 K, depending on condition and miles. I bought mine last year (1999 7k miles, good condition)for 3.8 and got the guy to throw in a $200 leather jacket, i think i got a steal. The ones i see going for 4.5ish make me choke. This is a good bike, buti wouldnt pay over 4 grand. Hope that helps.

for a 99 I think thats about the max I would spend...but prices are diff where you live...I havent saw one F4 for $4500...highest I have saw was $3900...you find the best deals from the people you know...ask around someone you know might know someone selling a bike.

 

Thanks for the reply N8 Dawg! Yeah around here IF you can find one the owners are wanting a arm and a leg for their bikes and most of the time the bike has been ragged out.

 

I bought mine (99 f4) for 4000 at around 11000 miles. it had some mods and was in fantastic, like-new shape and had some mods. my step dad bought his (99 f4 with 21000 miles) for 3100!

 

Still looking for a good used F4 if you have one for sale.

Just to give you a basic idea of price, I just bought myself a 99 f4 with 18k miles for $3k. I'm sure the price varies depending on your location, but I've been searching craigslist and cycletrader for a couple months now and IMO, it was the best deal I found- so I jumped on it! Pure stock and great condition.

 

craiglist is a great place...cycltreader is usually overprced...and mostly dealers....just search around, youll find one....maybe even a F4i for a good deal...saw one for $3500 on craigslist the other day....buddy called and it was sold...3 hours after post =(
