No, that is a great point. I never even thought about it. I'm off aprox. 10 mph, where when I do 50 mph my bikes speedo says 60 mph. I don't know how to fix that, if you can get a speed sensor that can be adjusted for the higher gearing or what?

I always get good mileage out of mine. Its got 15k and I got at lest 40-45 mpg out of mine before i switched from a 45 to a 43 tooth rear. Now I can get up to 65mpg on the highway from fillup to fillup. 220 miles to the tank. Rode up to Parry Sound in Ontario from just north of Detroit with only two tanks (it was pretty close though). Great bike all around. Only problem is the seat is a little hard for touring.

Sc0ttziyou need a speedo healer as well...

your 65 mpg is reading at least 10% high.

When you change sprocket sizes you increase the speedoerror. The same method drives the odometer. With a -1,+2 sprocket change on the F4 your error is about 14% OVER stock. Add in the stock error and you've got a significant OVER reading on your speedo and your odometer.

This means that the measured fuel mileages you are siting are WAY WAY over the actual fuel mileages you are getting...

Speedohealer is the way to go folks... plus for us Canadians it has the great toggle to MPH for when we visit our southern friends.

another reason to get the speedo healer - it'll mean the odometer reads correctly when you go to sell it.

For example - if I put 10k miles on this year, my odo would tell the next buyer I actually put on 14K miles... meaning I'll have a 'high' mileage bike to sell.
