HELP WITH TRADE PLEASE
To start, My name is Blaine Roberts... New to the forum, and street bikes as well.
Question:
Is trading a 2006 KX 250f (motocross bike) for a 1999 cbr600f4 a good deal? The cbr has 14xxx miles on it and has been well maintained. Although kbb has my dirtbike priced a little higher than the cbr is worth. The man said a new bike tire is needed. The bike has been painted with "truck bed liner"...but it does look nice and well done. Dont know much about mileage and or the bike itself...
Any input it helpful.
Thanks

I'd sell the bikes independently... you may be able to get more for your 250. Anyway, I'm always shy of repainted bikes... unless there's more custom addons. Stay on Craig's list & Ebay - there's tons of great cbrs this time of year.
The mileage is low for the year of the bike. My 2000 F4 has over 29K on it. The book price is for a bike that has stock paint and all that good stuff. I would say the guys neede to give you some cash long with the bike if you trade him. If the F4 was perfect/stock and did not need a tire then maybe it would be an ok deal.
My buddy traded his 2005 yz125 for a '99 f4 with 16k on it. If its a buddy I don't see why not. It might benefit you more to sell your bike and then check out some classifiedsfor a good deal. My friends and I are always wheeling and dealing with one another so it's no big deal but its really how you feel about it. If you do the trade see if you can get him to buy a new tire for itor atleast throwsome gear in too. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
