I replaced my OEM bulb w/a CandlePower [www.candlepowerinc.com] Premium Plus Halogen H4 bulb. Its a great value at $8 & significantly increases visability over the OEM bulb. Its white light & really projects much better than the stock bulb. I'm very happy w/ its performance. Many bike shops [some automotive stores] stock CandlePower as a standard replacement bulb.

Complete Spec (as seen in pic): H4 12V 60/55W P43T-38 E R37 4720BLB

I used that bulb also but recently upgraded to a 5k HID kit. I do have a question though. Will a HID setup utilize less power therefore making starting and charging easier?

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'm also looking at non HID options for improved headlight visibility for H7 bulbs. I'm looking at the Candlepower.inc website (thanks gotcbr for the link) and several brands are listed: Philips, Osram, Narva and some with different models.... ( H7 bulbs ). Any experience or comments with any of these? Thanks

No significant difference.

You're welcome. Correct, your '02 F4i takes H7 bulbs. I've seen the standard Candlepower H7 replacements used on the F4i. Just like what I mentioned above about the stock F4 bulb, the Candlepower H7 F4i replacements significantly increase visibility over the stock bulbs. To that, I can't really see paying more for the other bulbs mentioned unless you plan to do a significant amount of night riding.
