hard post-winter starting
My '99 F4 always takes 3 full battery discharges of cranking before it will run after winter storage. Once started and run for a while, I have no problems the rest of the season. Has anyone else had this type of problem? Anybody know whatthe fix might be? Thanks.

RE: hard post-winter starting
Well, I won't let a bike just crank over and over till it starts after sitting for the winter. I just give it a shot of starting fluid and save the starter and battery. Don't need to drown it, just about a 2 second blast into the intake at the front of the fairing. I have done this to all engines that were stored over winter, for the past 30+ years. Justdon't drown it and wash down the cylinder walls, just a 2 second blast.
