Question Ghost keeps adjusting my idle

Has anyone ever had this problem. I cleaned my carbs a while ago and the bike runs fine. I let it warm up for about 15 mins and adjusted the idle at the time to stock settings. Since then my idle has been okay, but lately when i ride my idle increases to about 2200rpm and i have to adjust it back down at he next light. It will be ok for like 5 mins then it will go back up to around 2200rpm. It almost seems at if the vibration is causing the idle screw to turn up on its own or a ghost is messing with me. Is there anyway to tighten the idle screw to keep it from moving due to vibration or do you guys think it is another issue all together?

oh its me, don't worry about it.

I have no idea. You can try lubing and/or replacing your clutch cable.

Check for vacuum leaks around the carbs where they mount to the intake. Also check all you vacuum hoses. Sounds like a classic vacuum leak going on.
Good luck.

So when you say check for vacuum leaks are you talking about my band clamps that attach the carbs? Because i did take the carbs off not too long ago and i might not have tightened the middle two band clamps if i recall correctly.

sounds to me as if the hoses/vacuum lines are getting soft,
as the bike warms up to temp, allowing small air leaks.
i suggest going over and double-checking all your lines and clamps....

Easiest way to test for a vacuum, take a propane torch, DON'T LIGHT IT, just open the gas up and move the torch head around your carb boots and vacuum lines. When and if the engine revs you know where your vacuum leak is. Good luck.
