Default Fuel pump question

My fuel pump just went out on my 99 F4 and I cant afford a new right now so I wanted to know if any1 knew if I could use a universal LOW PRESSURE pump in place of the OEM pump.

Good question. I suppose anything is possible. ;-)

You could just run it without the pump...although, you may have occasional feed problems.

I made it home by bypassing the pump which was about 8miles but I questioned if it would still feed when the gas level got low in the tank. Itdone fine on the way home with a full tank.. I just don't wanta get stuck on side of the road ya know. Any more ideas or opinions would be greatly appreciated yall.. Thanks gotcbr !

First of all, welcome to CBRForums. Now, I believe that you can bypass the fuel pump for now and just keep a good amount of fuel in the tank.. But to be honest it may be better for you to just do it the right way. IIRC the fuel pump (new OEM Honda) was about $90 or so from Ron ayers.. Save your money and get the right part..

Good luck
