My faring on my 99 F4 is busted and Im trying to get a new one, but I got to thinking, could I get like a 2001 F4i front upper faring and put in its place? I know there need to be some mod's but I wanted to get an idea of how much of a difference it will be. The dual headlights look so much cooler then the uni-light the 99 f4 has.

Mostly I ask because a friend has this fairing that I could buy from him.

 

you'll need:
upper fairing
headlight assy. and rewire for them
upper fairing stay*
windscreen
air duct covers
modify your stock air ducts, don't think they'll work with the dualheadlight the way it is...I got ahold of a pair of f4i air ducts so I'm going to try those, they look like they'll work.

I did the same thing as you and found some insane deals on f4i parts so I'm going that route. I'll document it when I get to working on putting it together.


*this will mean you need to either mod up a mount for the stock dial cluster or get a set of the f4i gauges

 

I heard the hardest part was mounting the dial cluster, if I can just use the f4i gauges then I might go that route. The rewire hard?
