The f4 upper stay is the bracket that mounts to the frame on the front of the bike that holds your front fairing and basically everything else on the front of the bike.

 

ok now i no lol, and by chance whats all needed for a tail conversion maybe the f4i or newer? and would i have to cut into anything since i bought my 99 f4 for 800 bucks and want to modify it before i decide to put fairings on it

the other day when my fan came on while the gauge was in the middle of cold and hot made me want to do this swap just so i dont have to guess what the temp is. I heard the low fuel light is the only thing that wont link up

 

just as confirmation, its only the low fuel light that doesn't work, the actual fuel gauge still works??

 

Just gather all the parts listed and it's not to bad... still working on my RC51 gauge swap though...

Yes. But...There wasn't a 2000 F4i. The "i"s started in 2001.
