What mods are needed to mount an F4i fairing to a F4?

 

I've been tryin to find out the same thing. From what i've heard, the lower fairings will mount right up, and the front upper will need a new headlight and maybe a couple custom mounting brackets. The rear cowl i'm not sure about. I'm working on putting just the front upper fairing on mine cuz i like the dual headlights more than the single.

Also, check the guage cluster clearance on the F4 and see if it'll still clear at full lock on the F4I front upper, cuz it looks like the F4I upper is a little tighter on the top then the F4.

 

c'mon man, there's a thread identical to this like 5 or so lines down. to answer your question, buy an f4i upper...the frame, swingarm, forks, yadda yadda are pretty much all the exact same thing. the 01-03 split seat tail is a bolt in operation just as is everything else going from f4 to f4i except for maybe a little wiring tweakage for the new headlight. also...f4 cluster absolutely will not fit in the f4i upper fairing stay.
