Default F4.. wont turn over at times??

Ok guys got a 600 that i just got that had some wiring issues going on in the rear harness. Now i have put a new switch on it, new battery, stator etc. Found out that the rear harness had been spliced but thats fixed now. NOW it will crank maybe once or twice then nothing. I just rode it for about 10min came back and tried to fire it up and nothing (lights and all come on but thats it) picking up harness today so i can have my dash illum) could it be the starter switch again? this is the 2nd one in 2 months.. bypassed sidestand switch. WHat would allow me to turn over at times like that?

Sounds like a loose wire or short somewhere...who knows? Electrical problems are a real bear to diagnose...even harder over the interweb. ;-) Anyway, w/o more detailed info, its going to be hard to figure this one out w/ just a single post. Hopefully, others chime in so we can help you get it figured out.

I had a pesky starter switch that gave me problems awhile back. I'd go to start the bike, & nothin...just nothin. The lights would come on but that was it. I checked battery/fuses/connections/etc etc etc. After alot of headache, it turned out the starter switch was simply sticking. A shot of wd40 in that puppy & it was good to go. Sometimes its as simple as that, other times its alot more complicated.

Let us know w/ your new harness how things go. Good luck.

Check all your switches on the bars. Also check your grounds. Put a meter on your battery and see what the voltage drops to when you crank it.
