Default F4 HID kit/offseason

Whose kit are you guys using? Havent really seen anything about hid's for the f4...someone has had to have done it.

Just thinking of some things to do during the off season (not that this season is done yet!) Going to do some new levers, new taillight, debating repsol fairings but I really like the sunrise yellow. There are just a lot of imperfections and cracks since the previous owner laid it down and I just threw some touch up paint on the scrapes. Also want to do a high mount exhaust for my yoshi pipe.

thoughts? comments?

www.ddmtuning.com I believe you would need the single H4 Hi/Lo kit.
Cheap, quality product and perfect for a winter mod as they take about 3 weeks to come in and less then an hour to install.

funny you should post this.. I am going to order the DDM tuning kit H4 hi/low kit within the next day or two as well.. I was also going to do levers this summer, but decided to save the money for now..

I have also not seen much posting about the DDM kit on F4s... but a ton of F4is use them.. maybe because the F4 is a 2 yr only bike? more people mod f4is? dunno... I'll more than likely be going with the 6K kit...

sweet thanks for the link. Great price. Im gonna go with 6000k also thats what I did in my jeep and I like it. Once you go higher than that its too blue/purple for my taste.

Ill just have to double check that F4's use the H4 and if its 35 or 55w.

Maybe I should start a list of stuff to do over the winter...

The 35W HID's are the replacements for the 55W Halogen.
The 55W HID's are just rediculously bright.
I have the 8000k and love the look but at night in the rain they aren't the greatest as the blue blends in too much to the rain.
If I had to get them again I would probably go 6000k.

Just remember it will most likely be 3 weeks for shipping and you will need the H4 Hi/Lo and not just the H4's or else you will be without a Hi beam.

I dont mind waiting 3 weeks... and I want to order from DDM but I see so many horror stories about them... Im gunshy I guess... I called once and waited on hold for over 20 minutes and the person I spoke to was useless... another time I called and I got someone in less than 5 minutes and the guy was super knowledgeable and helpful.. what to do....

Most of the horror stories are from stupidity.
People order from them and get made because they haven't showed up in a couple days or have no idea or common sense an try to install them (even though there are straight forward to install.
I have ordered 6 sets from them within the last year and a half and have had not 1 problem.

Most of the times too, people complain on forums when stuff doesn't work and if it does work don't really bother posting

interesting...

I havent pulled the trigger just yet... the thing that has me most interested is how when I see a bike with an HID kit they immediately catch my eye more so than a bike with halogen.. so more visibility to the Ray Charles drivers in cages...
