ok, so im trying to find a set of euro controls, or uk controls.. whatever you want to call them.. im talking about the controls on the bars especially the one on the right with the kill switch. if im correct, the uk version also has an on/off switch for the lights. am i right? anyone know where i can find some? ive looked everywhere i can think of online, and can not find any. im thinking about finally giving in and installing an HID kit on the bike, and would like to be able to have the lights turned off while starting the bike to keep from burning out the ballast from turning on and off so many times. however, i dont want to install some kind of toggle switch.. id rather make it look somewhat stockish, even if it costs me an extra $100.

you would have to modify your wiring harness because its not set up to toggle the lights on the right side. I really like the pass button on the yamasukis was driving my car the other day when a guy was using it and it drew my attention straight to him. A great feature I think.... I know it just toggles the headlights but its a whole lot easier than flipping the switch back and forth.

hi, i am in the uk and you are correct as to what the controls consist of.
i am rebuilding mine after a crash and have had to replace both switchgears on both handlebars. i paid £35 GBP which is about $50 for both and the throttle tube came with it.
search ebay uk if you can as there are loads on there at the moment and most people would ship to america if you pay by paypal up front. or get them to me and i will ship them to you as i work as a parts salesman for access platforms and have a UPS account.
just bear in mind when searching ebay uk that a 1999 cbr600 f4 is known as a cbr600 fx in the uk and a 2000 cbr600 f4i is known as a cbr600 fy in the uk but both items are identical on both bikes.
hope this helps mate

CJardine- yea, i had thought about the wiring issue a couple weeks back when i was doing the searching, but i completely spaced on it last night. however, im sure i could find a replacement harness if i can find the switches.
johnstig84- thanks for that info. think i tried looking once on there, but i was looking for the f4 controls.. explains alot!!![Icon Doh](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_doh.gif)
edit: i looked on the uk ebay, and found a like new set of switches for £45. and a harness for £33. idk how much that is compaired to USD, but they both look practically new.

Well i should only need the right side, since the left appears to be the same. And i dont want to just add a toggle switch because i want it to look good. Would rather spend the money on converting it to the uk style because it looks cleaner than adding toggle switches. And besides that, i dont want to chop the harness up by adding switches. Sure, the uk harness will have an extra plug for the running light, but i can use that plug to run my additional leds that i installed in my headlight. People think im ceazy, but i am very picky when it comes to my vehicles, especially when it comes to electrical and lighting.. i see how some people just throw together their wiring and i just cringe..
