unless you are planning on becoming a parking lot stunter, its not really a mod you want to do, some cops will also see this mod, and label u a stunter, and will harass you, if your going to do that, put on a 12 bar, and a cage to go with it, the cops will love you....JK ..all jokes aside, if you really want to do this, your going to:
A- get some Dirtbike bars, pro tapers, or renthal twinwalls, and a set of bar risers, you might want to go for the 07 + kawi 450 ones. You are going to have to drill thru your upper tripple clamp, two holes, then fit the bar risers. the kawi ones are rubber mounted, i dont know which other bikes use this system, but I know my yamaha does not. Then you can mount your bars, have fun getting all the controls right, and you might need longer brake lines, also make sure you can still get your key in and out..... wow just writing this makes me think its not worth it....![Icon Doh](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_doh.gif)
B- Find a set of dirtbike tripleclamps that fit "Good Luck" maybe ask around on stuntlife.com then finish the process. But then where does your ingnition go????
Ither way you go, I believe you will have fork sticking out where your clip ons would go.....
Maybe you should buy some heli bars, they are a little higher

Dirtbike bars are real worth it if youve got the bike stripped, ive put them on a few streetfighters but im affraid you will need to get some longer lines as i did it to my F3 and the breaded lines didnt reach, i ended up putting hornet ones on i think.
But if the bikes still got all the fairings on it then its not worth putting bars on it.

Why would someone be so narrow minded to think cops would give a crap about what kind of bars are on a motorcycle. Most wouldn't even know that there not factory on a nicely done streetfighter. I have a naked F4 and have thought about this and not once did the 5.0 even come to mind. Personally when I patrol I don't look for what kind of setup a guy has, It's whether or not you ride like a douche that's going to draw attention.
The reason you would put them on a non-stunt bike is it's a cheap way to get a better riding position and more leverage for ease of riding. Find some bar mounts on ebay taken off a dirt bike for after market ones = cheap. Drill holes in triple clamp, mount dirt bike bars. Ignition? leave it where it's at. Extend brake and throttle and you have a nice cheap sport touring set-up. After all the sport tourers pioneered the dirt bike bars for sport bikes not stunters. I looked into dirt bars for my 900RR years ago for better touring capabilities long before the stunt and squid movement took over the sportbike scene.

Im fittin a ktm 500 front end to the bike which has the same diameter forks so I only need to mod. top triple clamp
