Differences between '99/2000 F4 triples and '01-'06 triples
Greetings,
I am building myself a big-single roadster with a XR650L engine (the one with the magic button for us old fellows) in an old XR500 frame with CBR600F4 forks and swingarm and EX500 wheels. I've got a Progressive shock from a track-day SV650 in there now for starters. I want to swap the XR triples for an F4 set, maybe one of the fancy machined aluminum aftermarket baubles.. The F4 used 43mm forks from '99 - '06, but the F4 triples I see for sale on Ebay are listed as either fitting '99-2000 or '01 - '06. What is the difference? Tube center spacing/steering stem dimensions/offset or and exciting new location for the key switch?
Thank you,

In the mountains where light weight and speed-of-thought handling are faster down the road than big power.
Miles of hairpins so steep you look down on the pavement of the road around the bend.
