Default Daily/Weekly/Monthly checks

Ok so I passed my test last Tuesday and have been out everyday on the bike no matter the weather to get as much experience as possible and I was wondering what checks I should be carrying out.
I have done about 250miles this week alone. I have checked the tire wear each day and the brake fluid. But what other things should I be checking??

Keep the chain clean and lubed too. If your riding that much, do it weekly and adjust as needed. Cleaning the bike frequently is a good way to look over it as a whole. after a while, you will notice anything that seems different or out of place.

Additional to recommendations above, check your radiator overflow bottle's level. You do *not* want to run the bike w/ low coolant. Just get into a habit of checking all fluid levels.

Most of us that have been riding for awhile, do maintenance & visual checks as a matter or regular routine. Each time I get ready to ride, I check forks for leaks, fluid levels, tire pressures, chain, etc. As 74demon mentioned, & what I do also, cleaning your bike regularly will help you keep tabs on your bike's needs.
