Anyone hear about a crankshaft going bad. A friend of mine bought a used f4 for cheap and it was supposed to have a bad 2nd gear. after tearing it down her mechanic tells her that she needs a new transmission and a new crankshaft.. what could possibly have gone wrong? thanks.

 

I haven't heard of it, but anything is possible with poor maintenance..
