Default Could it be the CCT?

Ok from what I have been reading on here a bad CCT will make a rattel noise on the rigth side of the bike. I know my valves need to be adjusted, but now on idle the hear a noise that does not sound like the valves, but the noise seems to be caming from the left side of the bike. The bike makes good power and runs fine, but the noise is not good. It's not a rythem noise like the valves. What do you think it is? My bike is a 00 CBR 600 F4 with almost 28K on the clock. I have only had the bike about 3 weeks and I have put about 1000 miles on it. The noise was not there when I got the bike.

Thanks.

Default RE: Could it be the CCT?

Does it only rattle with the clutch out, then goes away when you pull the clutch in?

Clutch disks - CBR's have noisy ones. I'm not sure if it means they're worn out though, mine does it too but my clutch never slips.

I doubt your valves need to be adjusted, in fact I'm almost sure they dont. Honda has rock solid valves and at 28k it's unlikely so I wouldn't even bother (quoted from my Honda tech)

But it's a good bet that the CCT should be replaced anyhow.
