Choke position

Simple question- Which direction is choke on? full up or full down? I would assume down.

Full down is fully open... however, you shouldn't need it anything like this... infact I never use the choke. Might need it come winter, but for me now, never ever used the choke at all...

Thanks that's what I thought and it explains a lot. The previous owner had been riding this way. Thanks for the quick reply
