I most try this forum
i have a lot ticking sound from the engine.
Change the CCT fisrt with no luck.
Then i change CCT again, with new cam chain and sliders an cam sprocket both and guide all 3.

Then most of the sound disapper. But have a little sound yet.
Do any know what i could be?
Shims the valves maybe?

 

you shoulda checked the valve clearance while you had it apart. how many miles are on it?

It has run 37000 KM which are 22990 Miles.

Yes i know... but it's a small job to take it apart the top... just about 2 hours...

it does have a few miles so have the valves been looked at? If they have then its probably normal. I'm sure its nothing, most hondas do it.. they are light bikes and light components with an open engine.. its really easy to hear sounds lol.

 

i have 18k on mine, im sure the 16k check wasnt done. it has a tick when cold, sometimes sitting still so this winter shes coming apart and im doing the cctl and checking valve clearance

 

mine ticks...but I figured it was normal..most cars do the same thing when you open the hood and actually listen...

 

yup.. if it starts to change.. or something becomes audible then it may want to be looked at

Then i drive until to the winter and take a full check

Does anyone know how it's possible to take CCT back out. need to take it out again. but i just change it 3 times on 2 years so i think it's enought CCT to chang now.
It's get expensive to buy another again.

 

yeah.. you gotta remove the tank and you'll be able to look down on it from there.. its the cctl tho.. a triangular shaped one. Check this out:
