So i purchased the decals for my right side fairing from replicals.com and i am wondering if i should clearcoat the fairing after i put the decals on or before. On the other side there is no clearcoat over the decals, and I am wondering if there should be. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

The OEM fairings are not clearcoated over but all of the aftermarket ebay fairings are.

Assuming the decals are decent quality I dont think there is any need to clear over them - just for the sake of anyone wanting to remove the decals later, the clearcoated decals are a bit of a pain.

 

I agree.. dont bother clearing them.. I believe that the tank is cleared stock tho..

What color is yours?

 

I second that I am rebuilding my f4 and the whole thing is getting re-painted with custom graphics I purchased from alloutgraphics.com and the guy that is painting it recommended against clearing over them.
