Dennis Kirk isn't a bad option. I needed a new mirror and brake lever handle and it was $110 for the mirror and something like $40 for a lever from Honda, from Dennis Kirk it was like $42 total.

I am headed to the dealer Wednesday morning to pick up the gasket for the stator cover so I will check with them to see if they have an aftermarket shift lever.

I appreciate being a part of the community so far. You have all been really helpful.

Try here http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/parts/part_11747/. Its a genuine honda part so its a bit pricy. But under $50 isn't to bad compared to other dealers. Don't know where you can get aftermarket parts though, except for ebay.

While I did get the gasket I needed from the local Honda Dealer I did go to another favorite bike shop that was able to find me a good a deal on a shift lever for $35.
I also got the gasket installed Wednesday morning and hopefully I will be firing the bike up Thursday morning after letting the gasket sealer cure for 24 hours. Everything looks good so far and I am getting more excited about riding the bike for the first time.
I picked up some fairing bolts as well because the original bolts are missing from the left and front fairings. Hopefully I can make the bolts work for what I need.

Thanks.

So I got the bike all back together this morning with the repair I did I was kinda sketchy but no leaks!

I reattached the tank and got ready to fir it up and realized after some checking that the fuel pump isn't priming. I don't hear that distinctive whine when I turn the key. That noise tells me the pump should be working right? All I hear a click, click and that's it. I knew the fuel pump worked before because when I put the new battery in it came on. I have checked the wiring connections and need some suggestions as to what I could check next.

as always, help is appreciated.
