omg guys.
i ****ed up i think

I put it all back together, it started but wouldn't idle.
It would start everytime I would try.
Then smoke started coming from my bike

when i looked there is oil coming from one of the exhaust manifolds.

Im so sad.
I just want to cry.

Any ideas what's going on???

I double checked on the carbs and IM about 90 percent positive that I put all the hoses back correctly.

What would cause oil to leak from the exhaust manifold?
(the smoking is from the oil burning on the headers)

also only one header is leaking oil, right at the gasket

did i blow a gasket or something?

By the way, It seems that I fixed the problem I was originally having.

Is oil flowing from the exhaust manifold? Or did you DROP some oil on them at some point during the carb rebuild....lol....

There gas in the bike?

it is flowing from the second header from the right. Right at the gasket.
There is gas in the bike.

I took the tank off and fired it up again without the air filter on.
It ran better, but more oil leaked when i turned it on again.

You're going to have to clean that area of the bike up to see where EXACTLY it is coming out. It's hard to "clean the carbs" and mess up your exhaust manifold or anything else really for that matter.

so many ups and downs today.

UP: Got it back up and running. Especially without fudging anything too bad.

Down: I didn't fix the problem I was originally having. it's much better now, but not completely gone. Also, it stutters worse when it's warm i believe. When the bike is cold or warming up it drives great.

What would make the bike stutter while i am taking off from a stop?

Did a pretty good job cleaning the carbs/jets, and replaced the plugs.
What should I do next?

Ascertain source and cause of oil 'leak' from #2 cylinder.

Haha, ya....that's definitely good advice.

Something you may want to look into and get someone to help you out with is a carb sync.

The four carburetors need to be "firing" in the correct order and time. If they aren't doing that your idle and off-idle will be wrong and could cause the studder you are talking about.

You can either make a carb sync tool or buy one for around $100...it needs done IMO.

Did you write down what jets were in the carbs for both the idle/pilot and the main circuits?
