Default cam chane tentioner

Anyone replaced chane tentioner recently? I have a 01 F4i and have 23500 miles on it. I have never replaced the tentioner and I think it is going bad because I hear raddling change noise when I rev. I do push my bike hard and I know it depends on how you ride your bike but how long does this suppose to last??

I know on the F4's that it is a very weak part, typically 4-5K kilometers. I've already replaced mine once and the part is/was on it's 4th revision and it still only lasted 5.5K on my bike. I'm putting in a manual tensioner in so I don't have to worry about paying $70CAD each time.
