Default Battery? (& story inside)

Ok so.. after a long day ride.. (suffered from heat exhaustion afterwards..) i get home and i have to enter my apartment complex's gate which i have to dismount and enter the code to get in.. then start the bike up and hope the gate doesnt close. It closed.. so i had to wait for some girl to pull up and put the code in for me.. i goto start the bike.. rrrvvvrr vv as in dying type then click click.. Battery is dead (i think)

so i had 2 people help me push my bike down the parking lot of my apartment complex to my spot.. and im pretty sure i almost had heat stroke.. i sat in the girls car for like 10 mins in the AC.. pushed it and we finally got it to my spot.. and the guy gave me a root beer and i chugged that in about 2 minutes...

so i guess this is what i get for riding all day.. (my first day riding too)

just looked up battery prices.. 89$ sigh i dont have that much

sigh... I feel bad for asking.. i just hope its the battery.. but.. if you guys want to help out.. i would be forever in your debt.

More likely a failed regulator. Put a charge on the battery and test it and your charging system.

Charge the battery first.. Don't just buy parts and throw money at it..diagnose the problem. D you havea digital voltmeter? I have to be honest here.. I'm kind of put off that you are asking for handouts on this thread...

There are a lot of nice people here, willing to give you all the advice and info you need for free. Unless you plan on paying us for our smarts, don't ask for money for your parts.

What have you contributed to the collective knowledge so far?

That's the point.
There are certain members around, and many of them, that have given everything that they know and typed their fingers do the bone helping people for a long time. When something happens to them or their bikes, and it has, the parts and help come flying in from every direction. The never ask and they never expect it, it just gets offered from whoever can help. You're new here, dont be surprised or insulted if nobody gives you money. Your link will probably be deleted anyway...

In the meantime, charge that battery, borrow a tester, and test your system. Report back with your findings and we will gladly help you figure it out.

Those look like the same battery, but different manufactures.

Charge it first and test it. Don't waste money on something you may not need. Most autozones or pep boys or napa or??? will charge it and test it for free. Maybe you auto mechanic will do it for nothin if you have a good relationship with them.
