Default all year f4i or rr parts on F4?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't a person bolt just about everything from any year f4i or rr onto an f4? Reason I ask is my swing arm is all scratched up so I'm thinking of getting one of the rr swing arms off ebay and they range from 03 all the way to today. I want to make sure that there was not a drastic change somewhere along the way that makes a difference (for example if all 06+ parts were totally incompatible with r4s).

Thanks,
Chris

There is a sticky about which parts are interchangeable. Parts not specifically mentioned may take a bit of research.

PlayfulGod (among others) have/had an RR swingarm on his F4. Check out his posts.

Is there any way you could bead blast your F4 swingarm or is it beyond that?

Oh it's certainly repairable (road rash mostly). I'm just finding that rr swingarms are anywhere from $25-$50 on ebay so I'm tossing the idea of the upgrade (they look better in my opinion).

Also tossing the idea around of a single sided arm but I'm not sure I want to give up the strength.
