Default Adding slip-on exhaust... what do i need to know.

Hey guys. I was looking for some parts on ebay and found a cheap slip-on exhaust for my bike, CBR 600 F4. I was considering removing the stock one and replacing it with this one.

Is this as easy as it sounds, just remove old one, slip on the new one and i'm good? Do you have to adjust anything on the engine? I was just curious, its not a full exhaust, just a slip-on.

And by the way, some1 enlighten me on the difference between slip-on and bold-on.

You guy are great helping newbies like me, thanx. I took off the rear wheel to get the tire changed without any problem. You guys were right, i scratched the **** out of the wheel. O well - you live and learn. Thanx for all your help.

slip on is a bolt on...bolt on is anything you just "bolt" on...slip on just slips on, but it's also a bolt on.
as far as the F4, you don't need to do anything with just a slip on, but it won't run as well as it did before. you'll need to eventually reject your carbs...but not something that will kill the bike or make it run so **** poor or anything.
it's easy to do, pipe should come with a midpie...so take off the stock muffler and the pipe that's attached right in frontn of it, then install the new one.

there may be a gasket over the end of the header area, if the pipe won't fit with that on, get rid of it. you'll need to cut it.
if you're worried about leaks, get RTV ultra copper or black and put a ring around it, then slip the pipe on.

buahahha...on the wheel, just make sure the next time you line it up just right with the scratches so you don't get any new ones!
