Does anyone know how to test the stator or charging system on the F4 model. I wrecked my F4 in 2005 and just put it back together last year and the battery was not holding the charge...new battery still going dead...replaced stator still doing same thing. I need to know how to check/test stator and charging system... looking for help!

Scroll down a few pages in the F4 section(s)...you'll find a few threads on this. The issue in question tends to pop up frequently.

For reference... The old R/R in the '99 & '00 has been superseded by a newer version similar to the F4i. The new one is part number.... 31600-MV4-010 . This may or may not be part of your problem.
