5th gear RPM is decent speeometer on F4

Hi, I noticed something recently. When I'm in 5th gear, the tachometer seems to coincide with actual speed (pretty close -- maybe off by 1 mph). I use a GPS to measure speed. The speedometer seems to be about 10 mph off whenever I check.
I like this gear on the highway as I can now check actual speed using the big dial in the middle. Plus, at relatively low back road speed, 5th gear is nice because it keeps the power down to avoid being so tempted to exceed the speed limit.
Anyone else notice this? I'm not sure (I not the first owner) but I think I'm running stock front and rear sprockets.
Thanks,
Dennis
