2000 f4 with no spark
ok as of right now i have a 2000 f4 that went down lightly on the right side. after the crash the bike has not been able to start because there is no spark. I have checked and power goes through the ignition and is hot all the way down to the icm but there is nothing coming out of the icm for the coils. the Icm was replaced with a new one and still nothing works no spark. does anyone have ideas on what could be keeping the bike from sparking.
anyone have any ideas i see several people have the same problem and i am out of ideas the only thing i can think of is maybe a ignition pulse sensor but i have no idea what that does. I am out of ideas and am running out of parts to replace in the ignition system so anyting helps and THANKS A LOT for anything
im pretty clueless when it comes to bikes. but how do u know there is no spark...like did u take out a plug and try to start it? have u checked all the fuses, or maybe a wire got bit threw a lil when u layed it over. and the battery is good right?
ya i have checked all of the fuses and they are all good. as far as the wiring i have looked over the whole bike and nothing was touched. i pulled a plug and grounded it so it should have sparked but nothing. everything on the bike turns on and it will crank over all day just no spark whatsoever. the battery is brand new and i am just lost. does anyone know if the tank and everything has to be on it because i have it off just trying to get spark. again icm is new and power is leaving the ignition and going into it so i know the ignition and icm isnt the issue. thanks

All the coils go bad in a crash, somewhat odd, but it could have happened. Pull tank off like ya did, and go from coil to coil. Keep the plug in the coil, but pull out of head. Just keep the plugs close to the head when testing. Try to crank engine over, and see if spark goes from the end of the electrode to the head. If ya see spark, you have power. If not, then it could be the coil. Try from coil to coil, going down the line. If ya would find one that would work, swap the coil from cylinder to cylinder by pulling the coil from the connector and and moving to a connector for a different coil. If you would have no power then, it would be in the wiring. Check all plugs for electrode corrision and wear. Otherwise, get yourself a repair manual or the Honda specs and see what they say. For all 4 coils to go would be odd, but possible. I would think something about the stator or rec, but in the control module is getting power, then it shouldn't be. Plus those are on the left side of the bike if im correct. Try that I guess, Peace.
Ya, the tank can be off, as long as the system gets gas at a point, but that doesn't have to do with the power to the coils.

i checked coil to coil and still no power anywhere. i heard there is a crash sensor but that that cuts off gas not spark but im not certain on that. anyone think of anything to try that would be amazing because its getting warm here in MI and i really want to get it going so anything helps. thanks for all the infoso far hopefully someone can think of something
