Default 1999 Honda CBR600 F4

Hey guys,

I'm looking at a 1999 Honda CBR600 F4. The bike is spotless and has a little over 6k miles. Only mods to the bike is a 2 Brothers pipe. Hasn't been riden in over a year. I went to test drive it and it had really old fuel in it so it didn't run real good. The owner took the carb's off and cleaned them. The bike seems to run good now. Just curious, where is the rev. limiter at? I've heard you really have to rev. this bike! All I'm really going to be doing is riding it back and forth to work a couple days a week but also want to have a little fun too. While test driving it today it seemed to be hitting the rev. limited a little over 9k RPM"s in second and third gear... Is this normal?

Also, any pro's or cons on this bike are appreciated.

Thanks

only place you would really have to rev it is on a track. I own one and ride it everywhere with no issues at all. Plenty of pep etc.

redline on em is around 12 - 13k

What could be the problem? I know the guy, he really takes care of his stuff. He baby's his stuff. When I test drove it, I doubt the bike had ever seen those kind of RPM's...

carbs could be out of tune n not sync'd. Plugs, cdi box. Carbs could still be dirty..
