reason why I was thinking it didn't was b/c one day when my chain came off and the speedo still regestered even though I was stationary, I knew it didn't have a speedo cable on the front rim like past models. I didn't even bother to think that it was linked to the tranny. Makes a lot more sense in my head now

Good cheap mod.
Makes 1st gear wheelies touchy.
Makes 2nd gear wheelies easier.

Slightly more acceleration, nothing great.
Few more revs ~500rpm @ 60mph.

Downside: Will accelerate chain wear.

Any way you can correct the speedo and tac? Cuz I also was thinking about just dropping a tooth on the front.

Ya, speedo healer is one and yellow box is another one. And only the speedo and odometer are off -- the tach is unaffected by gearing changes.

Ya, they have to be bought through dealers -- there's a list on their site. I've seen 'em for $89 + shipping. It is plug-n-play so to me that's better than having to splice with the yellow box. Plus it has some other features like top speed recall and on some models can over ride the limiter.
