I just bought an '02 F4i, the previous owner put an '04 tail on it. The seat doesn't fit right becauseit sets right on top of the EFI computer which is just laying on top of the battery box. I can see where the computer is supposed to mount on the '04 tail frame but the wires are not long enough. Whereis the computer supposed to mount on the '02 F4i ???

it sits right on top of the battery box. Do yourself a favor and start looking for all the parts you need to put the split seat back on it. Until you do that it'll continue to look like a touring bike.
