Okay so I wrecked my bike back in August, and I'm just now getting around to fixing it. Its a 97 f3, and when I took it out on the road today, it won't go into second. It goes into first just fine, and neutral, but that was it. It did hit the shifter, but I wouldn't have thought it was hard enough to break anything...I dunno any ideas?

 

Is the shift rod bent? A bent rod might prevent the full motion needed to shift to another gear. When I first wrecked my bike, the shift linkage got bent pretty good, and it would not get out of gear.
