wiring toggle switch for fan. need help
You should be able to take the 2 wires going into the fan motor, run one to a 12v power source and ground the other and the fan should run.
The green wire on the fan motor is the ground the other is the power.
You might want to use a relay on the fan power lead.

this works wit a da swith with two wires just two tabs i got a picture of the swith too. umm its a negative pulse which activates the fan which is weird cuz its usually positive pulse that activates things even in cars it was weird when i first did this ...
thanks man! that really helps! it is weird that a negative powers it. ha. oh well, i guess whatever works. haha but thanks! oh btw if its done like that, and you unhook the wires from the little connectors you have clamped on there, it'll still work normal right? and one more thing ha. if they are wired to your switch, but you dont flick on the switch will it still come on at the temp that the sensor says. ha hopefully all thats not too confusing.
It should work if you clamp it elswhere on the wire itself.. I never tried it before. And yes your bike will still turn on while it gets hott because the thermostat is still goin to open up so you dont have to worry about switching it all the time.. hope dat helps
well i did it because my thermostat kept f***ing up it stayed out all the time and when i was riding the bike shut of on me one day.. To tell you the truth our bikes got hot i believe because something is wrong with the enginge I'll be able to tell you if its a engine problem in 2 weeks because i put a new one in today... But i put it in because i was scared that one day it would turn off again and my bike hits the line all the time.
yeah. not a bad idea. im not really sure why mines getting so hot. it just bam, after i flushed it and put in new 50/50, started getting super hot. didnt used to go but about half way up. ive used water wetter and engine ice and the engine ice helps a little but not much. i think im going to try a new water pump soon.
Did either one of you follow the coolant troubleshooting steps provided in a shop manual? Example, Faulty radiator cap, insufficient coolant, air in system, faulty water pump, themostat stuck closed. just some ideas, maybe you are one step ahead of me already
i have visually checked the cap. seems to be ok. i've "burped" the system. checked the thermostat in boiling water. fan works. which really only leaves me the pump to check/replace. ? only thing i can think of. ha
