the reason yall got headshake was from you not just getting the wheel off the ground...instead you barely pulled it up to where most of the weight was off of it but the tire was barely touching..when you do that without a steering damper....it will give you some headshake..gotta clutch it up man..im tellin ya

I just did my first official stand-up wheelies. Sucks being 6'2" and a lot of it is leg, but it can be done. Just like Bob said its ALL clutch. Im geared -1 +2, I had them consitantly at 30mph in second. So I just wanted to say thanks for all the advice given to the almighty WHEELIE.

I find it easier not using the clutch. I mostly wheelie it up in second standing up. I can only get it about 1 foot up in third. Second is safer than first except u are going much faster. In second at about 7000-8000 rpms gets it up perfect. Just takes practice.

HEy guys I am a noob in this forum but hell this thread intrests me. First I am no stunter. I would like to learn to get the front wheel up, but I am worried about frying my clutch trying. Here is my set up. -1 +0 520 conversion. other than that I have a slip on and the rest is stock. so in the past i have just tried dumping throttle to get the front up, doesn't usually work. Do you have to stand up, lean back and pull the bike up to you? Exactly what is bouncing it up also. I am just curious.

im not sure what my gearing is, but i can get it up good if i get it to about 7000 or 8000 preload the shock and open the throttle... works fine for me... if i wanted to do wheelies goin fast i would get a bigger bike, even though im sure its possible on the f3

p.s. im no stunter either

I've been riding since march and I'm just now starting to experiment with bringing the wheel up. I keep it in first and feather the clutch until I get into the higher rpms. The wheel comes up about a foot but gives me no chance at even coming close to the balancing point. I would like to be able to ride the wheelie for a while and I'm open to advice from anyone. Also, is -1/+13 gear ratios or what?
