wheel jump?
So I was talking to a friend today and he told me that the f3s and older bikes in general get wheel jump at high speeds. Im assuming what he meant was that the the steering and front wheel shakes bad has anyone experienced this?
the f3 is a pretty smooth bike IMO
i've had mine to 140's and it was fine, but don't stick your head up
i had some wobbling problems a bit at higher speeds and had to check a few things.
- my front tire was low on air, and i put her back up to near 40psi
- i had a ding on my rim, and batted it down a bit with a mallet.
- lubed the joints and replaced the brake pads.
smooth as glass from then on.
but who knows, some bikes act weird when they get old.
hell, i'm young and i act weird.

the only thing i can think of relating to your description of "wheel jump" is when i had my 89 kawi ex500 and i would let go of the handle bars to cruise to a stop light, the front wheel started wobbling side to side and if i didnt grab it, it would get violent. i was told that that was happening because i had no steering stabilizers or whatever you call em that 90's and up bikes had. but if i held my hands on the handlebars at all time, it was smooth.
Don't know what your friend is talking about with the "wheel jump"
I've had mine well over 100 many times and have never experienced any kind of weird wheel/handlebar movement.
Is your friend a salesman trying to get commission from selling you a steering stabilizer you don't need?
