What's with the tool pan location?
I just bought my F3. It's got a little spot under the seat for storage; tools I'm betting. But you need a screwdriver to get the sidepanels off, and a socket or wrench to get the seat off. A lot of good that does you, needing tools to get to tools.
Anyone every do any modifications to the seat to make it removable without tools? Like some sort of easy release bolt?

You only need a coin, or even a stiff thumbnail to get the left orrightside panel off. Once you have the left side, near the rear of the bike in front of the tail light is a small cover that can be removed which will give you access to that storage area. You could then remove the seat with the tools. The seats on our bikes are still bolted on, however I've seen some modifications that people have done with solenoids for an electronic release. I don't know how it was done, but would be interested if someone posted a how to.

i have an electronic seat popper on my F3. It comes with a larger storage bin to install and everything else needed to install it.
Also, the tool bag is supposed to be stored in the battery compartment. You'll notice when you take the cover off the battery, it has a divider in it. Look on the left side of the battery box, from the side of the bike, and you'll see that it has a little door built in it thats labeled Tools, or something like that.
